Promptings - a calling to move. The nudge to take action NOW. A feeling experienced deep down in our core to say or do something. Do you know this feeling? I do and I wonder how many times in life have I been in a spot where God was nudging and I refused to budge out of fear, pride or lack of faith.

A year ago, He began to again gently tap me on the shoulder. Something was stirring in my spirit to pay attention. As I look back, I sing praises to God for trusting me with His task even though I had ignored Him so many times before. That night in July 2018, He violently pushed me to GO, to act NOW. It was magnificent and scary all at the same time. As the situation unfolded, I knew exactly what to say and how to say it. Although the world told me this situation should have lead me to feel out of control and hysterical - I was focused and peaceful. I operated confidently within the gates knowing that victory was already won. He gave me the words and bestowed favor over my voice. He was my guide as I navigated the ship in the storm that had come out of nowhere. Glory to God.

I could ask myself, “Why now?” I could shout, “Why did you wait so long God?” I could have ignored Him. I could have answered Him with a no. I have done both many times through life - they are two answers I have greeted Him with as I wore my crown of doubt, coat of pride and chains of fear. However His word says there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1) His timing was exactly when it needed to be. How wonderful the ways in which He operates and executes His perfect plan. What encouragement this gives as I press forward. God was faithful that night - it took 33 years for the promise to come to pass. Even though the world (including myself) sees this as unnecessary and maybe even negligent if He is such a good Father - the fact remains: He was faithful. In His time and in His way for His purpose only He knows. When He spoke and said, “Enough”, He meant it and took down the demon in less than 24 hours. I wasn’t stranded and stuck in the desert for 33 years without purpose. It was to be trained, to be broken down, to be built back up, to be refined for the task that He had designated for only me to accomplish. It was necessary for what He has called for me to accomplish. The same is true for you as well my friend.

God has and will make all things work out for the good. God has a time for everything to come to pass in your life. Your trials are not for none. Your suffering will not be in vain. The coat you carry, the burden you bare, the mud covering your miracle will all be transformed into something beautiful. He has promised each one of us this. I have lived it time and time again. He is the God who cannot, has not and will not lie. He will restore, redeem and reward all things in His divine and perfect timing in accordance to His will.

When you start to feel His loving nudge, His prompting to go, His request to take action - how will you respond? Will you shield yourself from Him under your pride, fear and doubt or will you let Him shield you in His almighty strength and power? He has said He is with you, in you. He goes before you and His angels follow behind you.

Dear friend, what is He prompting you to do today? Where is He calling you to go? What is He nudging you to take action on?

Thank you God for all of those moments you move us to GO. Thank you for all those commands of NOW. How magnificent you are God to call us near. Open up the eyes of our heart and let our ears hear what it is that you have for us to take action on. We pray for boldness as we step forward in faith. Lead us Lord, give us the words we need. You are our strength. You are our guide. What You begin, You will finish for our good. We declare we are courageous. We are not afraid. We are not alone for you are with us. Keep prompting us Lord. We trust that all will come to pass in your way and in your time. We love you. Amen
